Yoruba is the first language of approximately 50 million West Africans, and is spoken by populations in Southwestern Nigeria, Togo, Benin, and large segments of the African Diaspora in Europe and North America. Based on the number of people for whom Yoruba is the first language, the economic, cultural, and social importance of the language within Africa, have made it extremely attractive to researchers, traders as well as Corporate organizations offering consumer goods and services.
African-American or West Indian students often study Yoruba out of interest in their own heritage, since many of the slaves brought to North America and the Caribbean during the 18th and 19th centuries came from Yoruba-speaking areas.
ATT Communication offer intensive Yoruba trainings to Beginners, Intermediary and Advance Learners, with a strong emphasis on pronunciation and listening comprehension; The Yoruba syllabus has been put in place to enable students to be taught how to communicate in an interactive way, acquiring grammar and vocabulary in realistic contexts.
